I really want a DVD of this -- but despite being a National Geographic documentary that was shown worldwide, it's only available mail-order from South Africa, costs $25 just to ship, and AFAIK has the wrong region and video encoding for American DVD players and TVs.  (If anyone is interested in pooling shipping on a copy, email me and let me know.  The DVD itself is about $20...I assume if you have a region-free DVD player and a newish TV you can get it to work.)

The documentaries I'm aware of which feature hyenas prominently are: Hyena Queen/Hyenas at War, Naabi: Hyena Princess, Bonecrusher Queens, Eternal Enemies: Lions vs. Hyenas, and the Kevin Richardson "The Lion Whisperer" documentary.  None are available to order or watch online AFAIK.

Note to National Geographic: I'd be glad to pay money for your documentaries if you'd ACTUALLY MAKE THEM AVAILABLE to the public in some way...but so far my options for documentaries of yours I want to see have been:

-Buy a 20-year-old used VHS tape off of ebay or Amazon...then buy a VHS player

-Order a DVD with the wrong region and encoding from South Africa

-Most likely: I'm SOL because NatGeo only ever releases a tiny fraction of their documentaries on video

Until then, I'm stuck trolling Youtube for pixelated, lo-res versions, or searching for torrents (and failing).  Shape up, guys.  Put them on Hulu or Netflix or something, and start making some money off your gigantic back catalog.  I want to give you money and I can't.
