        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I&#039;m not sure I&#039;d go about believing "facts" from people who rigidly adhere to a restrictive set of practices - this goes for dietary <em>isms</em> as much as it goes for politically motivated fringe groups and religious cults; likewise, for people and groups with something to protect or promote - the food industry, drug industry and so on.</p>
<p>I&#039;m not good with the science bit - I like to read it, but I then rely on principles. I trust someone will jump in with the science bit and some references.</p>

<p>The raw veg and fruit brigade use the argument that the foods are still alive as in (enzymes) and juicing etc goes to the cells and nourishes all the cells and you look younger etc etc.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Eating anything cooked kills the enzymes and the nutrition is lost and the food is dead.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Surely this can&#039;t be right other wise the non veg and fruit people would look like the 900 years old or dead.</p>
