Please show my comment to Stephan Guyenet and his arrogant friends.We humans assign a NUMBER (.fictitious entity called energy) to stuff- matter , atoms , and even quantum fields- we say they have " energy" Energy is simply an invented useful number.Nobody eats calories or joules because calories have no such physical existence whatsoever. This is very important to understand. Not only are they worthless to a human body they do not even exist. When you eat a big meal you are literally eating food matter stuff nitrogen and carbon atoms etc.
