You've just read The Gnoll Credo, and you feel very, very alive.

You are feeling and experiencing and understanding yourself and the world as a human—and for what may be the first time in your life, you both know and understand what that means.  You have heard the song of your blood, and you know that it has always been in you, in all of us.  It has made us what we are, and that is not good or bad, it simply is.

That is why gnolls.org exists: to move forward from this knowledge, instead of denying it, railing against it, or striving hopelessly to overcome it.  We accept and respect the multi-million-year history of humans, and the billion-year history that we share with all life.  And our task is monumental, yet we will not be discouraged—for we know that any future worth living in must share that respect.

The first rush of joyous liberation that comes with this new understanding will last about a week.  Don't waste it.  Make the changes you've always wanted to make in your life, but never had the time or the nerve.  Break old habits.  Walk away from old obligations.  Seek new goals, explore new joys and new loves.  Learn new skills.

Go outside.  Live in your body, live in the world…

…and share your joy here, with us.  There is much to be done, and only one way forward: start now.

Live in freedom, live in beauty.

Stay strong.

Welcome home.
